Chevron Stitch Infinity Scarf

Hello, anyone who might be reading my knitting blog! :)

This scarf is a chevron aka zig-zag stitch variegated purple infinity scarf. I made it for my good friend from college, who I'm also pen pals with.

I won't be posting the pattern because it came from a stitch encyclopedia book (copy written), but here is a link to the book on Amazon, it's a great book! Highly recommend buying it for any fellow knitters.

A little hard to see the pattern because it's variegated yarn, but the purls are the chevrons in multiples of 8 stitches. In the book, the pattern is called Single Chevron Stitch, that is a 4 row pattern that repeats. I repeated the pattern 3x for 24 stitches per row and when reached a good length, sewed the ends together to make it an infinity scarf, and weaved in the ends.

I hope you like the scarf, A.!

Striped Stitch Scarf With Border

Big thank you to my friend who sent in these photos of the scarf I made her, after I had already given it to her.

The yarn is a purple variegated yarn. The pattern is knit 5 rows. Next row, knit 4 stitches, then go into stockinet stitch with purling 10 stitches, then knit 4 stitches to create the border on the opposite side. Continue with  4 stitches of knit at the beginning and end of every row. Continue with stockinet stitch and the border for 10 rows. Then knit one row all the way across. Two rows of stockinet and the border on both sides. Knit one row all the way across. Two rows of stockinet and the border on both sides. Knit one row all the way across. Continue with stockinet stitch and the border for 10 rows. Repeat. When you've reached an appropriate length, knit 5 rows all the way across and bind off. Add tassels.

Thanks again, V.! Hope you like your scarf!
