Afghan Blanket Finished!
I finished my first afghan blanket today! It is rather large but I'm happy with how it came out. It's double knitting (double stranded yarn) to make it twice as thick. I'm looking forward to this keeping me warm on the couch this winter!

Projects in Progress: Afghan Blanket
This is a knitting project I'm still working on. It's an afghan blanket that is double stranded and the photos show it folded in half, it is twice as wide.
The pattern is cast on 60 stitches and knit 4, purl 4 on circular size US 35 needles.
This is yarn for a scarf I haven't started yet, but it looks so pretty wrapped as a skein that I took a picture.
Blue Variegated Ribbed Scarf
This is a scarf for my friend from college who requested a blue scarf, so I decided to make it a blue variegated ribbed scarf.
The pattern is knit 2, purl 2 and at the end I added tassels.

Teal Infinity Scarf
This is a teal infinity scarf that is looped twice. It's nice & lightweight and doesn't feel heavy to even wear indoors.
The pattern for this scarf is knit & repeat for 6 rows. Then do 10 rows of stockinet stitch. Stockinet stitch is knit 1 row, purl 1 row & repeat. Alternate plain knitting & stockinet. Even though the number of knitting vs. stockinet is not the same, it ended up about the same width. When finished, sew the ends together. It's easier to see the pattern when the scarf is laid flat on the table.
It's kind of like a striped stitch scarf. The texture stands out even more because it is curly yarn to begin with. A fun scarf!

Striped Scarf
This scarf I made for my brother-in-law. He went to UConn, so I decided to make it UConn colors of blue & white. It is a ribbed scarf with tassels.
The pattern for this scarf is knit 2, purl 2. When I finished, I added tassels to the ends.
I'm excited to give him this scarf for his birthday soon!

Starting a Knitting Blog!
Hello! My name is Liza and I have created this blog to show my finished knitting projects. I am a beginner knitter and I am enjoying learning more about knitting!
This is the first scarf I knitted. I love wearing this scarf with a navy coat.
The pattern for this scarf is just knit & repeat. At the end, I added tassels.
